Week Two flew by as our team engaged with the LOMAMO team in visiting more patients and sharing the love of God. The week was topped-off with a memorable celebration on Saturday June 6, where local partners (hospital, pharmacy and business partners) came together with patients who have “risen from the bed” and their families, to give testimony to their gratitude for LOMAMO’s compassionate services in bringing healing and restoring hope.
Michael and Pamela have been busy working with the Executive team at LOMAMO in learning about their dreams and strategizing next steps. We
are constantly amazed at the quality and integrity of this team. I wish every donor could be a fly (or mosquito!) on the wall to see first hand that your generosity is being wisely used and never wasted.
Bill, Marina and Steve went out day after day with different team members sharing scripture and prayers with patients from villages and slums near and far from our Kisumu office. They made a huge impact, with Director Martin saying our team helped lead more patients to Christ in one week than he could remember!
Enjoy these photos. I know the team will love to share more (after jet lag releases them) now that they have returned home.

Bill and Marina helping to pack food bags that go to our patients every week. Mornings at LOMAMO are busy and hectic as the team prepares to go.
It was quite amazing to meet one of our former patients, Gideon Ochieng Odindo, going about his daily business of providing transportation via his motorcycle (piki-piki) to support his family.
What a tremendous blessing, to see a patient who was down with HIV, Pneumonia, Lumbar Spondylosis and more recovered, stable and back on his feet after medical support through LOMAMO SHA (Social Health Authority) payment for a whole year of physiotherapy sessions. He can now afford a smile of hope and victory over sickness and hopelessness.
Bill was blessed as he brought love and encouragement to this young boy suffering with TB. This young man has been shunned by his teachers and school-mates because of his illness and wants nothing more than to be well and resume doing all the things other children get to do. With LOMAMO’s help, he is well on his way!
Marina with Daniel Naphtaly, a LOMAMO caregiver and IT/Media specialist, delivering a BIG bag of food to a patient in a remote village. Without nutritious food, the medications for TB and HIV are not effective. And, if there are children in the family, we must bring enough food for all of them because moms and dads won’t eat while their children go hungry.
Mr. Bill, as he is fondly called by LOMAMO staff, encouraging and praying with our patient in program; Beatrice (in pink top) from Manyatta and her mother. We praise God that she is showing remarkable improvements.
More joy with Mr. Bill!
Steve, sharing love and much-needed food with another LOMAMO family under our care.
